Since 2007 we have been working with our partners at CLEVEL to become Carbon Balanced and identify future steps we can take in understanding, reducing and compensating our carbon footprint.

One of our new initiatives in carbon management is to actively engage with our suppliers to assess the carbon footprint of our supply chain. We are using Mapeley CSTREAM, a streamlined business carbon calculator, to enable our suppliers to work out their basic footprint. If you already know your footprint, you can also use CSTREAM to register this information with Mapeley – now a key part of our procurement pre qualification process.

Where no footprint has been calculated, we also encourage our suppliers to identify carbon reduction opportunities and take steps to compensate for their impact.
